SHOOTING

Shooting has recently returned to the units list of activities after a long absence and is proving a big hit with the cadets. We have also seen the addition of Air Rifle shooting to the unit. Cadets have participated in local, regional and national competitions and have won numerous trophies and medals as a result.

During the winter months the cadets can go shooting for Good Shooting/ Marksman badges, mostly on the .22 range. There are age restrictions that apply to Shooting with a minimum age of 12 for .22 shooting, and 14 for full bore.
